The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ is now available to order from dealerships and online. The new compact sports car, which recently set a segment record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, boasts a system output of 500 kW (680 hp) and a maximum torque of 1,759 Nm, powered by three innovative axial-flow motors. At its heart lies the combination of the 800-volt architecture and the motors, which deliver exceptionally high power density. This technology enables not only acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds , but also a long range of over 670 kilometers ( sedan ) and a short charging time of 22 minutes from 10 to 80 percent state of charge (SOC) at a suitable fast-charging station.

Drive: Performance of a new dimension
The three completely decoupled axial-flow motors allow for maximum variable torque distribution between the front and rear wheels. Furthermore, the drive power can be individually distributed between the two rear wheels (torque vectoring). This results in a newly designed, fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system.
Driving dynamics: Maximum control, maximum emotion
The CLA 45 4MATIC+ puts its immense power to the road via a steel-sprung AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive three-way damping. All wheel control components, springs, and dampers have been fundamentally redesigned to achieve higher maximum lateral acceleration while maintaining easy control at the limit.
Active aerodynamics for efficiency and dynamics
A first in this segment, the active rear spoiler on the sedan and the roof spoiler on the shooting brake optimize the vehicle’s aerodynamic balance. Depending on the driving program or manual selection, the spoilers assume different angles to either minimize drag for maximum range or guarantee driving stability through increased downforce. This is complemented by further developed active radiator louvers at the front, which can remain closed up to high speeds to reduce drag and only open as needed when high cooling airflow is required.
Mercedes-Benz anniversary year “ 140 Years of Innovation ”
Since Carl Benz filed the patent for the first automobile 140 years ago, and Gottlieb Daimler built the motor carriage shortly thereafter, Mercedes-Benz has been committed to continuous innovation in order to build the world’s most desirable cars for its customers. This ambition has driven every innovation – from the world’s first automobile in 1886 to the current, largest model offensive in the company’s history. With a passion for performance and pioneering spirit, excellence, and a consistent customer focus, the brand with the three-pointed star has always shaped the future of mobility. The result goes far beyond technical achievements – it creates the unmistakable feeling that Mercedes-Benz represents in everything it does: Welcome home.
Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 140 years of innovation and sending three new S-Class sedans on a transcontinental journey to 140 destinations worldwide. Each location highlights the brand’s technology, heritage, pioneering spirit, and global presence. Along the way, customers, fans, and colleagues can join in the celebrations on an epic journey that lasts until October. 3 “1-Foot-Rollout”: The distance traveled (the “rollout”) that is not taken into account in the measurement is 1 foot = 30.48 cm.
4 The actual range depends on numerous factors, including individual driving style, environmental conditions, the aging process of the battery, auxiliary consumers such as air conditioning, special equipment, tires, payload, and the route profile, and may therefore differ from the stated WLTP value.
5 The stated values were determined according to the prescribed WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light-duty Vehicles Test Procedure) measurement method. A passenger car’s energy consumption and CO₂ emissions depend not only on the efficient use of fuel or the respective energy carrier by the car, but also on driving style and other non-technical factors.
