54 nations. One continent. The 54 building its future.
Pan-African Voice is proud to open nominations for the inaugural PAV54, our annual celebration of the 54 Africans building the continent’s future.
Across Africa and the diaspora, a generation is already building tomorrow. Founders are creating the companies that will employ millions. Innovators are developing the technology and science that will transform lives. Change makers are rewriting what’s possible for their communities, creatives are carrying African culture to the world’s biggest stages, and athletes are inspiring the next generation to dream bigger.
PAV54 exists to find them. The number 54 stands for every one of Africa’s nations, and for the ambition that runs through all of them.
Every name on this list answers one question: who is building Africa’s future? PAV54 is open to every age, because building has no age limit. What counts is the impact of your work.
The Class of 2027 will be the founding class: the first 54 names on a list recieve one of the most coveted honours an African can earn.
“The future of Africa is not a distant idea. It is being built right now, by people the world should know. PAV54 is our promise to find them, celebrate them and put their names where they belong. To every African building something that matters: the future isn’t waiting, and neither should you.”

How we choose the 54
Our process is rigorous, because a place on PAV54 means something. An independent panel judges review every nominee. Nominees who progress to selection rounds will need to provide a police clearance certificate (PCC). It must confirm no criminal record, no ongoing disputes or upcoming court cases, and their nationality. As an extra layer of verification, the PAV54 editorial and research team will also need a reference letter from your financial institution, such as your bank, confirming you run a legitimate business or brand and deploy funds responsibly. We recommend contacting your bank or advisor early.
Nomination is free. A place on PAV54 cannot be bought or sponsored.
Nominate now
You can nominate yourself, or someone whose work is building Africa’s future.
Nominations close at 11:59 PM GMT on 15 February 2027.
